After a early season packed with weekend family engagements, The Nic-Nac finally left the dock this year. Just returned from 3 days at Sailors Haven and what wonderful time we had. It had been 3 years since we were there last and to see all the work that had been done to re-build and dredge the marina was a refreshing sight.

Met a great bunch of folks during our stay and got to finally meet alliecat(Harris) on the unbroken chain. Harris we never made it to the beach Saturday as planned, the kids fell asleep so we decided to head back early and left around 1:00.

Well back to work for a few days, then its vacation for a few weeks. Next Saturday we head to the Molly Pitcher till Monday then its up in the air where we go. A lot of talk early in the season on the new town marina in Belmar-Shark River inlet I would like to check out, just not sure if there is enough to keep the kids busy, if not maybe head further south to Pt. pleasant for the boardwalk rides.

The following week we are headed back to Fire Island, not sure where but friends are renting in Ocean Beach so we will want to be near by- maybe back to SH for a few??

Hey buddy, it was a pleasure to meet you and your crew at the Haven. Would have been nice to kick back over a few cold ones at the beach, but I know the drill with the kids all too well.
The place really has cleaned up nicely.
We're heading out on Friday for another long weekend at the Haven, if any of the LICC ers are around, by all means stop on by for a cold one.
Danno, I'll be seeing you out on the bay. HAVE FUN

Sailors Haven has first come first policy or do you need to be resident of Islip? Brookhaven? And there is water and electric I presume.

What is cost?

Harris enjoy the weekend, weather looks to be pristine. We are heading over to NJ in the morning to spend a few days at the Molly Pitcher and to vist with friends, maybe jump south to PT. Pleasant, boardwalk activities for the kids, but we are planning to be in FI begining 8/14 not sure where yet but we may try Sailors again. In a few hours I will be on vacation -can't wait. We should get the kids together while toss a few colds ones....

bmfesg, Sailors is on a first come basis I do not think they tak reservation like at WH. It is a national park like WH so residency issue. I think the price was $1.75 p/ft + $5 for electric per day.

That would be great. When you know you're exact dates lmk and I will try to get it set.
Molly Pitcher eh....that's a nice run for you guys. Have the best vacation and hopefully we can hook upon your return.
Definately no reservations in Sailors, but if you're in by Friday night it is usually not a problem.
