Fireworks at South Street Seaport

This Saturday, there will be fireworks at south street seaport. Naturally, I am going. My question is, (and I have not yet looked at my charts, but I will), is there an anchorage near there to watch the fireworks? I would rather drop anchor than be worried about avoiding other boats.

Any info is appreciated
 
I don't believe there any any designated anchorages in the East River. You might be able to duck into a corner and set the hook.

You'll have to play it by ear, the police/CG might not let you anywhere near the launching point so you'll have to wait and see.
