First boat help required?

I am looking at possibly my first boat a regal 255xl ambassador it is a 1990 with 755hrs on an omc engine what sort of questions should i be asking and what should i be looking for fault wise the boat is in germany and i am in england it is on boatshop24.com type in regal and it is for sale for ВЈ9399 i would be gratefull for your thoughts.

One major problem common amoung all boat buyers is the "dream" factor. We all visualize ourselves out on the water in our new boat having a great time. As a result, we find it difficult to step back and look at a new boat purchase with any sense of objectivity. However, purchasing a boat with an obsolete engine and obsolete out drive with parts difficult to find can quickly turn that dream into a nightmare.
