Just wondering, anyone know who has hull number 2? Is that going to be the first customer 5260 and when will it be delivered?

I thought hull #1 had already been scraped and #2 is being built for tour???

And #3 is Jsheaffer !! Maybe he is the first. Plus, he posts here at this Regal forum.

My slip neighbour Jason (Visiontrans from the old site), has gone on his sea trial in the new 5260 (not sure which hull #). He was quite pleased with the performance, et al.

Last I heard he was about hull #7.

He completed his financial transaction a week ago (and additional bonus of the Canadian $ hitting par against US$ ie: up to a 20% additional savings from a year or so ago).

Crates, our local dealer came last weekend and picked up his 4260 - Blood Sweat and Beers and took it away - sort of sad when you think about all the memories.

Anyway, Jason is travelling right now and when he gets back, he is heading down to Flda at the end of the month to accept final delivery and shakedown.

I believe he intends on keeping the boat in Flda for the winter before he brings it back up to home waters in the spring.

I'll keep you posted on his progress and pics as and when. - his hull by the way is black with a cappacino (beige) boot stripe which should be real interesting to keep clean in the salt water.

PS: I am off to the boat in a couple of hours to spend our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. We are having a dock thanksgiving dinner behind the boat with at last count of 47 people for dinner. Should be fun.

The boat then comes out of the water on Tuesday for the winter..... a very sad day indeed.

Even though I am not completely sure I do believe that Jason's is the first customer boat. The first hull was the one that they orignally christend earlier in the year that is also the boat that I was on in May to get a feel for the boat as well as make option choices. The 2nd boat is the test boat that we also saw the pictures from Bimini. The 3rd boat overall is the first customer hull and as I said I think that is Jason's. I have no idea who has number 4 overall and 2nd customer boat. I have been told I have number 3 and I also have emptied my 4460 of all my personal gear and the dealer is set to take away any day. I have all my financing set-up and I am just waiting to take delivery which I am told should be in mid-November. I have pictures of it being built but it still is in rather large pieces (hull, cockpit deck, hardtop). I am taking delivery in Florida and will keep there for the winter. There are only 2 things I wish to add over the winter which is a KVH Satellite TV dish whcih I can do for a lot less than Regal and a Dinghy Lift. Even though I have the garage my Waverunner and my Zodiac are too big for it. I will probably Put the SeaLift system on.

Not sure if Jason or Jsheaffer will be bringing their boats to home ports via the Erie Canal next spring, but I am offering to run my little old 2460 as a "wingman" across Oneida Lake. Would gladly offer my assistance to come aboard and help through the locks from Brewerton up to Oswego. Only real place to tie up/get fuel on the west end of Oneida is where I keep mine for winter storage. That is Winter harbor Marina, Brewerton. My 2460 is a dingy compared to the 50' to 70' yachts that are stored for the winter. If you stay overnight in Brewerton or Osewgo before crossing Lake Ontario, I can easily swing by for a dinner out on the town. :-)
