First day out

First off love this site and Boatfix.In april I picked up a 1988 19' hydroglass bowrider one owner boat and had my 1985 120 rude installed on it.I took it to a marine mechanic that is sort of a friend and told them that I needed the motor and controls hooked up and go over the motor and do what ever it needs,well that was in late april.He told me he would do it right away well the last week in June they called and said it was finished,I went and picked it up and asked what the bill was and was told the bill wasn't ready yet and to just take the boat so I did.I went to work getting the rest of the stuff it needed to drop in,bimini top,fishfinder and so forth and I didn't start it yet,I put the muffs on and fired it up and it was smoking from the fogging oil that was there from me winterizing it WTF! I thought, popped the hood and it didn't look like it was even touched,old plugs and all it wouldn't idle or run right needless to say I was seeing red.I took it right down to a Johnson/evinrude dealer thats treated me good it the past and told them how it was running and said fix it and paint it,now this is the first week in July a week goes by and its done,needed the carbs rebuilt and complete service.I got it home and started it up and she purrs like a kitten idled right away so I spent the last couple of weeks getting all the little stuff done and dropped her in yesterday and it was running great for about a 1/4 mile and then started to lose power and wouldn't rev above 4 grand so I made a couple of passes down a channle to see if it would clear up and it didn't so now it was hardly running at all and I limped it back to my slip and just as I got to my slip it died but I am drifting right in to my slip but wait theres someone else docked in my slip WTF so it took awhile but we got in another slip no one around at the marina so I had to leave it there as it wont even run now I called the mechanic that just worked on it and there going to be there some time this week and I got to go find out why someone else is in my slip!Not a good first day thanks for letting me vent,Glenn
