I am thinking of buying a fish finder/sonar unit. I am looking at the Eagle Seafinder 245DS Compact 83/200 kHz($100.)and the Lowrance X50DS 83/200 kHz($120). I have never owned one of these and was wondering if anyone knows if these work ok and if they are accurate. The primary use will be for fresh lake water depth with secondary use being the fish finder. It will be used on a 1988 Glastron 19'6" with an Alpha 1 out drive. Also, are there any issues on installation that I should know about?
