Has anyone been fishing lately. Usually it's pretty good in the fall but with the river the way it is I don't know if it's worth it to buy bait and try. Anybody had any luck?

I did go pumpkin fishing from my jetski but that didn't go so well. I did get to try out the Seatow policy I have been paying for for years.

With all the rain we have had the saltwater line has moved down so I dont think there has been much activity with the blues. The bunker was looking good before the hurricane but seemed to have disappeared afterward. I think we are about done for the season as far as fishing.

I've noticed that also. There was 1 guy fishing at Tellers Point sunday. He said he got bites but hadn't landed anything yet. I guess I will have to wait until I get to Key Largo in December to go fishing. The federal fisheries commission closed the grouper season last winter due to overfishing. I had to toss back a 28" red grouper. Broke my heart. We'll see what this winter brings.

Went fishing today at Tellers Point. Got one striper about 12". Not a keeper but I'll take it. Better than a catfish or an eel. The water is much better. Not so much brown and less debris.

I hope to go out for a short ride tomorrow glad to hear the water is looking better! I think this will be the last ride of the season:(

We trawled around New York Harbor and down near Sandy Hook Saturday morning. Seems no one was pulling much of anything.
