I have about 5 canvas screw studs that have stripped out of the fiberglass and can't be used. What is the best solution to fix these? I'm trying to avoid drilling new holes and moving the snap on the cover.

They're available in larger sizes -
Otherwise, fill and re-drill,
Or place backing, if you have access.

I would fill the hole with some epoxy filler gently install the screw and let it set up. A little oil on the screw threads may help later removal. Pushing filler into a blind hole is tricky because of trapped air. use a toothpick to push it into the bottom and smear it around.

I had the same problem. Instead of redrilling and filling, use Red Loctite 271. I had four studs come out that held my cockpit cover. I just sold the boat, and they were still in place after 3 years. Just coat the threads and put a very small drop behind the snap, install and wait 24 hours to cure.

And lube the snaps so they are not so hard to get off that they pull out. Chapstick works.

I've put a plastic wire tie into hole first, then screw in studs. Last forever ! Try it, it'll work.
