Hi all. I was considering adding this to my boat -- has anyone installed this product??

i saw it at the miami boat show, it's very nice and looks pretty real. BUT .... at $30 / sq ft without border and about $40 with a border... it's a little pricey for... well.. plastic.

I installed cork decking in a 47 Viking Sportfisher and the owner loves it. It doesnt get hot, it sound insulates and cleans up really easily. And there are not mechanical fasteners so no holes in your deck.

I just had a customers 30' Doral done in that. Cost him 7400 with installation for cockpit and cabin and platform

DO NOT get it. It gets WAY TOO HOT to the touch when in direct sunlight. Much worse than plain fiberglass. You basically cannot walk on it in barefeet, nor sit on it in a bathing suit without wetting it down with a hose first. I've got it on the swim platform of our boat and hate it. It came with the boat so it's not like we had a choice (left over year-end custom order). And it apparently can't be removed without wrecking the surface under it. So we're stuck with it (literally). That and it gets pretty dirty looking, ours is a grimy-looking gray color, nowhere near the tan color teak might offer. I've even heard others having had it sanded down in an attempt to salvage the color. Sheesh, might as well be real teak for that much hassle.

Save you money, do NOT get flexi-teek.
