My OEM Flo-Jet Sensor 4.5 fresh water pump is screaming like a chocking cat and blowing fuses ! All last summer the pump kept getting louder and louder and now it is over the top.

I have found a service kit online but wanted some feedback if anyone has ever serviced the unit or is it just best to trash the 7 year old pump and spend $300 on a new unit.

Suggestions are appreciated.

blowing fuses means overload. It could be a bad bearing or as simple as something stuck where it shouldn't be. Take it apart and have a look.

The kit only includes the diaphragm, seal and valves, I doubt very much it will solve a fuse blowing issue.

Some of these pumps don't have a weep hole in the pump body and any diaphragm facilir will result in wTer being forced into the motor, resulting in the symptoms you described. In that case the pump needs to be replaced. As Bruce said, open it up but it sound like you need a new pump.

Bruce & Pascal- thanks for the feedback, I shop tomorrow for a new pump !!
