I am trying to redo a cushion for my 2001 SeaRay 245 Weekender. It’s the back rest of the back seat. The foam that’s currently there is deteriorated and needs to be replaced.

I’ve never bought foam before. I would guess there is marine grade specific foam. What should I look for? What type of foam do I need? Any recommendations on where to buy it? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

For a back rest it didn’t really matter, you get it on Amazon but for bottoms you would want high grade non absorbing foam.

Sailrite is a bit pricier than other sources, I believe, but nice selection and support.

Thanks! Got the foam from Sailrite. Came with way more than I needed but I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.

Came out pretty good I think! It’s just the back piece but makes the rest look worse… I have a feeling I’ll slowly be redoing the whole boat cushion by cushion now ha ha haz
