Claimes he fell off his boat while fishing off Florida coast and swam 9 miles to beach. Boat was in autopilot and moved away from him.
Any news on where boat ended up?

The boat wasn't that small from what I saw on TV. But one lucky guy. He should have been wearing an inflatable PFD. With a personal EPIRB on it would have been even better.

I'm not going to fault him for going fishing alone. That is pretty common.
