Hey Andy, I'm going to Watch Hill and Rob is shark fishing in my place
I had planned to fish Hudson and Bay Shore but so far calling around to the usual guys most of them just want to do 1. A couple have conflicts for the Hudson weekend so think I will just relax at the beach that weekend and fish the following weekend unless something changes.
Mark,
Friday was great, felt like a real summer day! Saturday was cold and rainy, I left there around 5pm, hit some heavy rain on the way back which was no big deal. The challenge was docking at my slip with the winds and gusts. Took like 3 approaches
Friday afternoon to evening I was questioning my decision not to go. There was no wind and the ocean was like a lake.
Saturday it was raining sideways at one point and this morning is downright nasty. Ultimately it was the right call. For me that is a 2.5 hour ride on a good day.
Hope we can all meet up out there or in Hemplock one weekend this summer.
Friday was beautiful but yesterday didn't turn out to be much of a beach day, I left just before Walter. Of course now the sun is coming out...
The weekend of July 18th I'm planning to take off the Friday and possibly Thursday and have a long weekend at Watch Hill if the weather cooperates. If that works out for others maybe we can meet up out there.
We stayed. Saturday night was good. Didn't rain hard at watch hill until 3:30 am. Rained for 2 hours and stopped. Left there around 10 and bay was pretty flat. Got back to dock and the sun came beaming out. Was a pretty decent weekend considering. Weather is always different there. Looks like the storm just missed watch hill and it rained harder on the mainland
