Received an email that is will be 6/20-21. We are not going due to a conflict.

She must have gotten some feedback about the prior weekend as she sent a follow-up that WH has 3 groups booked for 6/13-15 including the Power Squadron.

A little concerned but by then the ferry and other boats should open it up some.

I spoke to Pam and she said the big boats and ferries have been getting in and out with no problems. I'm going to plan for high tide, not sure yet if that will be early morning or late afternoon for me.

Anyone concerned about the channel dept at Watch Hill ?

Not at all, I will just follow Dave :)

Went to Watch Hill for a day trip today. Got there about 2.5 hours after high tide in Patchogue. Tide was unusually low today it seemed but never saw less than 5.7' while going slow and mostly more. Not great but didn't have any issues. Coming home at high tide was 7' or more the whole way. Only real change I saw was just before you enter the marina the shoal from the bay beach has extended but it's clearly marked and the water was so clear today you could see where it was shallow. It was shallow in the slip, couldn't pull the boat all the way back when I got there but I've had that happen before. Overall didn't seem like anything much different from when I was last there in October 2012.

John,
Low tide Sunday was 1:30 hence the mass exodus.

Rob, funny thing is it didn't seem to drop much (if at all) after everyone left. By time I left at 7 tide was nice and high. Beautiful day to be there, and was only $1 per foot off season Sunday rate :)

Sunday's low seemed extra low and never really got very high.
For FOWH weekend, I think low is early morning, so probably not staying Sunday.

The tides for FOWH weekend will be very similar to this past weekend, high will be early and late so need to either get out of there early in the morning or stay for the full day.

When the regulars tell u don't dare come around low tide u listen.

The ferry came and went at low tide ... She went on plane right at the turn into the channel. For such a big boat she draws under 3'
