freash water for toilet

Vic, thanks for the heads up on burning out the pump impeller. I know our way sounds a little bit like a redneck solution but I have spent no money , yet, and the odor is no more! Just the two of us on the boat so really does not empty the fresh water tank much. Paul.

Vic I figured that was the reason... but what about the guy who installs an off-the-shelf fresh-water head incorrectly and manages to contaminate his supply? Unless the head is a one-piece unit (water in HERE, waste out HERE, battery connections HERE) it's still possible to install something backwards.

Bill, you're absolutely right! However, if the factory sends out approved components as part of an overall new toilet package, we're not quite as susceptible to a lawsuit.

When you are sending out a parts kit to convert an existing toilet that was manufactured for a specific application, to another application that the product wasn't originally designed for, you can run into problems. And at that point, people tend to become impatient and start to cut corners... And their health could be at risk.
