FOWH is pleased to tell you that our members only Winter Blast is being held Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 7 to 11 PM at Shandon Court Restaurant, 115 East Main Street, East Islip, NY 11730. If you are not familiar with Shandon Court, you can check it out on their website, www.shandoncourt.com to learn more about them. This year's Winter Blast date happens to coincide with St. Patrick's Day weekend offering you a great opportunity to celebrate St. Patrick's with your fellow FOWH members!
Here's a summary of what this wonderful evening holds in store for you.
The Winter Blast will consist of a sumptuous Cocktail Party for four hours (7 - 11 PM) with full open bar and DJ Music throughout the entire event all at a great cost of $60 per person.
Cocktail Hour:
#9702;Full open bar during the Cocktail Hour (and throughout the entire event)
#9702;Wonderful selection of delicious passing hors d’oeuvres
#9702;Cold Table consisting of salads, cheeses, vegetable crudités, fried calamari and freshly baked breads
Hot Buffet/Carving Station:
#9702;Carving Station: Roast Turkey served with stuffing and cranberry sauce
#9702;Buffet Entrees: Penne a la Vodka, Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Francaise, Roast Tilapia, Sliced Steak, Roast Potatoes and Roast Peppers
#9702;Dessert: Coffee, Tea and Cookies
The Winter Blast is a fun-filled evening providing information about Watch Hill and the opportunity to enjoy all this function has to offer as well as the opportunity to mingle with your Watch Hill friends. Come along to another Winter Blast or make this your first one and join in on the fun!
It would be very helpful to FOWH if you reserve and pay for this event now or at the very latest Friday, February 28, 2014. Your early reservations help us to plan for this very popular event. Please log on to our website www.friendsofwatchhill.org to make your credit card payment. Please use Internet Explorer only (Google, AOL, etc. will not work properly on our site) to make your credit card payment. Please remember to type in three w’s (www), without them your credit card payment will not process properly. Click on Credit Card Payments on our Home Page and then scroll down to the Winter Blast Link. There you will find individual and couple costs allowing you to pay for one or more members to attend the event.
After making payment, please email us friendsofwatchhillrb2@gr5tyahoo.com with information about who you would like to be seated with at the event. Don't worry if you are new to our membership. Friends of Watch Hill does a lot of great things and brought back a wonderful destination. Most years I pony up the $25 bucks, but I'm just not interested in a dinner dance. People that have gone said they had a nice time.Thanks for the thought though.

Its funny . I don't hang out with any boat friends in the winter. Its the boating that brings it all together. U loose one of the parts and it changes everything.
