I have 300 gals of gas to treat for the winter. I'm located in New Jersey.

I'm getting confused as to what type of additives to use in the tanks..Star-Tron, Sta-Bil, etc.

Does anyone have knowledge as to what products I should use? I've always used Sta-Bil in the past, but with the new fuel mixtures I'm concerned if I should be using both products.

I use both Sta-Bil and Star-Tron. Work fine for me last winter lay-up.

Had a mechanic tell me just the other day that you should definitely add the Sta-Bil even when using Star-Tron. I'm in Jersey also....

I have always used Sta-Bil when storing any of our boats and never had a problem with stale fuel in the spring. With the advent of E-10 gas, I began running Startron in the gas all season as a precaution. It seemed to work as advertised. When storing the boat for the winter last year, I had Startron in the tanks from the summer but still added Sta-Bil as an extra precaution and I will do the same this year.

I just found out that STA-BIL came out with a new formula designed for ethanol fuels.
It's called "MARINE FORMULA STA-BIL". It's green in color. So far the only vendor Ive found that has it is West Marine.
32oz treats 80 gals of fuel.
