On my last boating adventure, fuel consumption jumped by about 40%. Engines are Crusader 7.4 MPIs. Mechanic told me that everything is about ohms and resistance. Something as simple as a corroded plug could increase the resistance causing increased fuel consumption. He said my best approach was to find somebody with a compatible OBD computer. Anybody have any thoughts on the cause and what direction to take?
