Galveston Tx Area fishing

I will be visiting my 5 year old Grandson in the Galveston, Texas area and would love to take him fishing. Any suggestions concerning kid friendly open party boats or piers in that area would be greatly appreciated. Bay fishing preferred as he is a little young for deep sea.
