Garmin 2010C screen poka dots ?

I have a 10 yr old Garmin Chartplotter 2010C. This weekend on the way home it would not power up as it should. A black horizontal bar scrolled from the top to the bottom and then the LCD display was poka dotted and flickering. When I depressed any button it would just beep. Is it toast ?
Thank god for back ups.

First thing I would do is to put in a call to Garmin Tech support. cheaper to ask if it is fixable than to replace.
