Ok, I know this has been beaten to death but I about ready to throw both units overboard.
The Garmin is a 178C and the Icom a 402s. How do I get these things talking to each other? Here's link to the owners manual.Wiring on page 94.
I hooked the Blue wire to the RCA connector (center wire) and the black to the outside wiring. Enabled DSC in the Garmin and nothing.
The Icom manual state I should see the GPS symbol on the readout and be able to call up position but so far nothing.
What am I doing wrong here? So frustrated after trying all combinations of wiring I'm ready to give up.
Please tell me I've done something stupid and I'm just missing something.
