Hi fellas. This forum is a great resource and I was hoping you could help me out. I just installed a Garmin 178C GPS and would like to hook up the DSC to my newly installed Icom 402S. I'm a bit confused.
The Garmin install manual shows a green port 2 Data out to RX+ on the VHF. The Icom has a single RCA jack in to serve the DSC. How should this be wired up? Do I splice an RCA jack to the Garmin green wire? How is this accomplished? Where would I get the proper part? I want to do this right and not harm any of the new toys.
Any advice would be welcome.
