Hi!
Would it be possible for a weakened transom to cause a gimbal bearing to fail?
There was some wood rot found on the starboard side during a survey but it was sound around the drive mounting. There is no visible cracking.
The engine is a 5.7L Volvo Penta with 280 drive unit.
