Gimbal Housing Removal Question

During this winter I will need to remove the engine, O/D and gimbal housing on my Alpha 1 to repair the transom on the boat. Do I need to disassemble the entire gimbal housing (gimbal bearing, bellows, etc) to do so our can it all come off and be re-installed as an assembly? TIA
 
MikeeH, pull the OD, then the engine and then the gimbal/transom mount will come apart. No need to disassemble everything.
 
Richard, Thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Need to address a wet spot in the transom where one of the gimbal housing bolts is located. Just replaced the bellows, gimbal bearing, etc last year so I didn't want to have to tear all that apart again.
 
I had to replace the whole assembly last year due to corrosion... Actually quite easy.
 
Thanks Richard. Pulled the boat today. Probably take out the seats tomorrow just to get them out of the way. Hope to pull the O/D and engine this week then put the boat in the garage to sit until after my shoulder surgery (9/16) and recovery. Figure I'll work on the transom sometime after the holidays.
