Took apart my 1989 GM 3.7L inboard engine and found a #3 piston with a piece broken off near the intake valve. Everything else looks fine, no scored walls. It overheated 2 years ago, and coolant is down to about 3/4 full. Any ideas as to what happened and is the engine junk now?
