Well the lakes gone now.I walked down thru the marina where my slip was. Found my cell phone i dropped two years ago, amazing all the junk that has been dropped in the lake.

Good time to go buy a metal detector and hunt around where the docks were.

You'd be surprised how much jewelry falls off.
 
This is just amazing! We live in crazy times.

'scuse me while I stock up on food and ammo...and, oh yeah...gotta fill the tank on the Regal...
 
Pardon me for not knowing, but where the he** did the lake go?
 
So now what. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for rain for the next several years?
 
Snazzy, I hope so. Lake cumberland was very depressing this year.
 
Fortunatly our lake was just drained for maintanence work on the dam and it will be refilled by the end of Jan 08. They are reconfiguring our marina and adding 22 slips, 45-55ft long with a Breakwater wall across the frt of the docks to protect the marina. Shuold make the marina a lot more calm.
 
AND...you can get a bigger boat! That new 5260 would look great with you behind the wheel.
 
Hopefully yours refills by January Chris and Yolanda. We rode up to one of our local lakes today that is only 2% full now. It is 116 feet below full pool. We are going to need way above normal snowfall to fill this one back up next summer.

i always wondered how they pour a ramp that far into a lake, now i know.
