going to try to sail please help?

i have been boating (power)for many years but never sailed im looking to retire soon and sail boats are looking very efficant i realize the speed of a sail boat is not the same as power but thats not going to be an issue i am looking to buy a small sail boat around 20to25 foot to learn on then will be looking for larger live aboard can any of you reccomend or suguest or advise on sailing thanks

There are lots of sailing clubs around your area. Having sailed most of my life, I'd suggest that you learn on a smaller boat and work your way up. Going 5 or 6 knots is not for everyone.

I'm a little confused now, Pew. Your first post said you needed to learn to sail and a subsequent post said you sailed as a kid. The strategy is different depending on skill level.

Paul, the only topic I could find where you only had one response was a Sanitation question that was answered by one of the nation's leading marine sanitation experts. If that's not good enough for you, then I don't know what to say.
