The LIBI doesn't have any mechanics listed, so can someone recommend good mechanics/service marinas ... hopefully reliable and affordable too.

I can recommend Davison's Boat Yard in East Rockaway as an excellent service yard for virtually anything you need done. They use Atlantic Diesel for the heavy lifting ondiesel engines.

They do excellent work and are reliable. Affordable is a relative term. Cheap they are not but who is?

Bay Park Marine in Island Park is excellent. Their phone is 516-764-2552. I have been using them my storage and mechanical issues for years. Never had a problem they couldn't solve, and some were definately a bit unusual.
