Good product for lite oxidation

"The polish vs. wax issue never seems to go away. Pro-Polish is a noun. It's a polymer-based wax alternative. Products like Finesse-It can be used (as a verb) to polish the surface to a degree of high-gloss, but none of the product remains behind. After polishing the surface, you'll want to APPLY a wax, or a APPLY a wax alternative, aka a polish."

Well said.

I use "Soft Scurb" buy any place, F**K the costly sh*t.

I was hoping to do some Buff Magicing and Finessing this weekend. The boat is in a covered slip now so I do not have to worry about the sun. However the temps will be in the mid 40s. Is this too cold to compound and pro polish?

Every boat comes with the perfect place to keep a bottle of Soft Scrub. It's usually near the galley. Under the sink, next to other cleaning products, but Soft Scrub's place is inside a bigger container lined in a plastic bag. There may be used coffee grounds and used paper towels in there as well. Not to mention corks and squeezed-out lime wedges. I prefer to see the bottle UNDER the other contents of that container. It's perfect retaliation after the "NOT EVEN CLOSE TO SOFT Scrub" has scratched the heck out of every surface it touches. Unless you use your boat to haul in hundreds of pounds of shrimp, and/or it's made of stainless steel, keep the Soft Scrub at home.

Greg,

45 degs might be too cold for you, but it's fine for the products. That's the temperature I've worked in for years. btw, a giant cup of booze-laced coffee helps with the cold hands, and an iPod attached to Bose over-the-ear noise-canceling headphones aint a bad idea either.

Be careful with headphone wires around a rotary buffer.

Don't ask me how I know............

Yikes, that's a visual.

I second that. The cord for the Bose detaches from the headset, so it's not as much of a safety issue. Still, it's best to run the cord inside some clothing.

Last week a neighbor stopped by and chatted. I looked up just long enough to wrap the buffers own cord around the pad. It ripped it right out of the handle, complete with sparking wires. When working from a floating dock, I tie the power cord in a way that plug can't come undone and fall into the water. I should make a similar effort to avoid wrapping it too.

Lol... be careful with the rotary buffer's wire around a rotary buffer.

Don't ask me how I know . . . . .[:-idea]
