It is going to hit 90 tomorrow and could go down to the high forties by Saturday nite. If we raft up in Bowline, can I start a campfire in my cockpit since gennies are frowned upon?

After 30 years I got a new unit. I'm on Lake Erie and this weekend it's going to be cold up there too at night. The good news is the new unit has an automatic setting on it, if 70 degrees needs heat or cold it does it.

JP what kind of unit you got?
Hank I am going to take some trees down in my neighborhood for the campfire!

Both of my units automatically adjust to AC or heat. Just set the temp, and whichever is needed to maintain that temp comes on.

I have a new Ac MARVAIR 10,000 Btu's Brand New for Sale 1750. with digital control. One USED Cruisair 24,000Btu's 208/230 Volts 1000.

I got it right from King-Air, I just called the number on their site. The unit I have is a 120 volt 19K heat pump with electronic controls. My first one came with the boat, the blower bearings went bad, so I replaced the unit with a new one. I've installed 6 others in my friends boats over the years, all still working today.

Thanks for posting, one is too small and one is too big :-)
Appreciate it though
Thank you.

Sure, come on down to the south side of Liberty State Park. Plenty of space to raft up and awesome views!

Tomorrow is going to be a long day! No boating for me:(

How is the water there? You must get bounced around a lot with all the harbor traffic.

Actually, not at all. There is a breakwall that surrounds the area. If wind is out of the S-SE you can get some chop otherwise it is really nice.

Have you have better luck with the anchor there? I remember that day was such a nightmare. Never imagined the river bottom would be covered with plastic bags.

I think the entire city of Bayonne let their plastic Shop Rite bags blow away and they ended up in the little area.......

I remember that day Jonathan. Been much better since then. Not sure why but it is.

We have anchored there a number of times. Never overnight though. May try this fall.
