I will be moving my boat to Lindenhurst today from Island Park. On the chart it looks like a fair run from the Goose Creek Bridge thru the Amity Channel.

It looks like it gets skinny just South of Unqua Point. I'm guessing from Green 89 I should head NE to Red 42, then East to Red 44. Is that correct?

Then once I get to Lindenhurst, it looks like I should turn left (Northwest) at Red 10 to Green 9. On the charts it looks pretty skinny in there also.

I draw 3'.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Am I better off taking the State Boat Channel past Cedar Beach to Green 49 and taking that channel up to Lindenhurst?

If you have never been through the Amity Snake before I would take the State channel all the way to the Lindenhurst cut.
The area from Wantagh Bridge #2 to the first Markers at the west side of the Amity Snake is not marked and alot of boats run aground in there.
You need to stay to the south side up against the land, the middle and the north side is very shallow only a few inches of water.
The State boat channel and Lindenhurst cut is very well marked.
