This off-season I repacked my stuffing boxes with the Gore packing. Now back in the water I noticed the water coming from the stuffing box is black.
Is this normal?
When repacking my hands became covered in a black oily substance, and I presume the water is picking up the same substance my hand experienced.
Just want to see if this was normal.
