I am in the market to replace an older Garmin GPS map 210. I have looked at all of the units offered on Boat fix, They all seem pretty good however, I would like to ask for some help from the forum based on experience which models "really" perform as advertised. I am looking for a chartplotter/GPS that has a good sized screen, color, and has better than average resolution (is 320x230 good enough??).
I am also looking for a unit with detailed charts.
The optons for networking etc.. are not needed, I may be interested in a fishfinder combo if the cost makes sense. I am looking to spend $1000 or less.
Also, can anyone point me in the right direction to educated on customizing charts etc..
