What a great weekend at the Thousand Islands Poker Run and Brockville Ribfest...
Met with Riverfever (Ray) and Admiral (Joyce) for the weekend, and it was just a good perfect time.
Ray even serves coffee at 5:30 and 5:00 am respectively..Sugar not provided..
Weather was looking a bit rainy early this morning, so we both pulled out of Brockville around 7am to beat the rain...Admiral and myself were just under 1 hour returning home,(hammer down) and managed to beat the rain by less than 1 minute..Got back to the Marina safe and sound, dry and DEFROSTED...Did I mention DEFROSTED?...Still gathering facts on the defrosting story, so I'll have to post that one later, when details are confirmed...All we know right now is that there was 2 or 3 Refrigerator defrostings, (on the same Refrigerator),(on the same day), there was Bilge water involved and water was running from the Back of a boat named Riverfever at a very high flow rate...

Lots of go-Fast boats attended...

LMAO...Is that the result of spending a weekend around me...You know nothing?...So how far down south are you now?..You in Florida yet?....

We are in Lumberton NC and heading out around 6 for the rest of the trip.

We did have a good time and fun this weekend. We also have great admiration and praise for Mo.
She is a Saint.
The refrigerator in our hotel seems to be acting up though, need to investigate further. We'll
let you know our findings.

Have a safe trip and enjoy Florida...You will miss the cold and snow...

Mo has to be a saint--look what she puts up with..lol...

"The refrigerator in our hotel seems to be acting up though"...did you try defrosting it 2 or 3 times?...That might help..I think the secret is to leave the food in it during the defrosting...

We entertained some of our Canadian friends on our boat this afternoon.

Good times and great shots Wayne - but where are the pix of the bikini-clad lovlies that normally follow poker runs?

Sorry Steve...With the Canadain Govt. passing the law that women can go toppless in Canada now, most of them were topless (at least the ones worth looking at)...Although it's law in Canada I doubt that Les would let me post them...

They live about 1 hour north of Toronto. We met them in Tahiti when we were on our honeymoon in 1988.

1 hour north of Toronto is my old stomping grounds when I was younger...It's Gods country up there...

FYI:..A clip from our local newspaper...Look familiar?

Quote"..

In the case of the stolen liquor, Fraser said the suspect and some friends brought attention to themselves with belligerent behaviour near the waterfront about `1:30 p.m. Saturday.

"They were trying to pick a fight at the Poker Run," he said, noting the police boat was dispatched to deal with the situation.

An officer recognized the instigator as a man suspected of stealing two bottles of liquor from the King Street LCBO earlier Saturday and arrested him, said Fraser.

"It was fortunate for us and the people he was bothering that he drew attention to himself," said Fraser...

Fraser said police seized 20 grams of crack cocaine, $1,400 in cash and paraphernalia related to the distribution of the drug.

Two suspects, who Fraser wouldn't name because the charges haven't been heard in court, were charged with possession of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking.

When that goon turned and I saw his eyes, I knew that even a swat in the head with a 2x4 wouldnt hurt him, it was time to notify the police...They always get their man...
