I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'll ask again. Who out there has the Groco system installed? We are replacing our holding tank and hoses and I'm debating whether or not to install this as well. $270 seems worth it to me if it truly works as advertised.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I had one and didn't notice a change.

If I has a new tank it might have worked better. 10 years of nasty sludge at the bottom inch stinks real bad.

Have used the sweettank for about five years. Best investment I ever made- especially since I bought it brand new off ebay for $75. No chemicals necessary. No smell ever.

We installed it in a new tank also. We had a clean-out opening installed in the tank when we purchased it and, ignoring some minor discoloration, the tank still looks new on the inside.

In order for it to work effectively, you have to keep it running during the periods you are away from the boat. This means you have to be at a marina connected to power. We turn it off when we go out so that our batteries are not drained.

Others have installed a 110v aquarium pump to do the same job for a lot less money, but by the time you chase down all the fittings and tubing necessary it may not be worth it.
