Anyone in Souther New Engalnd taking extra precautions over Hanna? So far looks like 30-40 knot winds in the forecast.

I'm torn over pulling the canvas or not. I woudl leave it up but I have a broken zipper in the front windshield piece which could cause havoc.

I'm leaving the canvas up. But I am going to double check the lines, add a couple. I am also going to deflat my dink and take it off the transome. Other than that, I'll just keep my fingers crossed!

Good luck....

We're just looking for gusts to 35 and 4 to 7 foot seas here in Southern Maine but it's still a long way off and things can change. We've had worse than that in afternoon thunderstorms this season. The surprizing thing is the unusually large volume of boat traffic heading up river - lobsta boats, cruisers and blow boats. Maybe they know something... I'll be taking the canvas off the small boat and putting that one on the mooring ball while the Larson will stay on the float heading up stream, probably without canvas. Gonna take off the sun pad too, unhook the shore power and put on extra lines. Good luck all.

I was abel to get the front window zipped by taking the pull off another zipper. (i've ordered replacements) I didn't take the dink off but it is secured well. I doubled the spring lines. I shoudl be ok, my marina is fairly sheltered as well.

So how'd everybody make out? Non-event here. Two inches or rain, top winds were about 30 kts in gusts and the seas didn't get over 5 feet. Current in the river is wicked pissah though...

Absolutely nothing here. Didn't even rattle the windows enough to wake me up. A couple recorded gusts over 40, mostly high 20's, low 30's.

Went to the boat this am. As I was walking up, I saw a big opening in my aft canvas and thougt... Gee, I guess I blew out a seem. Turns out it was just unzipped. The storm was pretty mild, all thinks considered. It was moving so fast that it didn't have much time to do any damage.
