Happy Birthday ladies and gents...

This platform is MUCH better and HATS OFF to the team that performed the migration. That was no small task. (y)

If I'm honest, it was a small task for me, just entering a credit card number... 😂

LOL, likewise, all I did was write a check. I think Alk deserves the lion's share of the credit for successful migration and setup and maintenance. Surprisingly few glitches. Like, I can't even remember one. Thanks for all you do!

Plus one on the effort by Alk, he even phoned me to walk me through a problem.

Thank you alk for all the tech efforts and time doing this. And thank you Brian for not chain-sawing the whole thging like you do to trees! Seriously, thank you both for what you did. If there were anyone else involved, thank you to them as well!

Also, Brian ... How is the funding holding up? If you need to pass the virtual hat again, just let us know.

One of these days...it's all good for now... The lion's share of the donations went to cover paying back Elaine for keeping it going after Les' passing, the new software, migration, etc...

The operating costs once all that was done are minimal.

Thank you all for sticking around - not sure I imagined this would still be standing in three years - I think at the time we just felt bad for Elaine, as she was faced with the unenviable choice of spending a couple thousand per year to keep the old site up, or pulling the plug on her late husband‘s legacy. But it’s 2024, and here we are ( having the same arguments we’ve been having since 2001 :).

plus, I didn’t have the trans am, or the Viking, or even the sailboat ( since sold), when we fired this thing up - so i probably did have all kinds of time on my hands. We outsourced the hard part, migrating the old data, so getting this all set up took me less time than welding one new floor panel, or repairing a section of rotted core,. Which is how I spend all my time now.

Hey you guys can downplay the roles you played in making this happen. It doesn't wash. I am sure that Les is happy to know this "outhouse" is stil rocking! Thanks again!

It meant the world to her that we were able to keep it going.

Also, you got to flex those old unused skills!

Thanks to all who contributed, stuck around and kept this site alive!
