Just a quick note to wish everybody a very happy Resurrection Sunday (a/k/a Easter) - I hope its a great one for you and your families!!!

Same here to all fellow boater who celebrate Easter. May you enjoy time with your family.

Oh yeah,
Make sure you bring out the Easter baskets and hide the Easter Eggs for the little ones.

Can we keep the religious stuff in NBR?

A simple Happy Easter from me....

Nothing wrong with a Happy Easter Wish. Thanks, and the same for everyone else's families.

"Can we keep the religious stuff in NBR?"

Of course not, John ;)... Hope you had a good day!!! Ours went well until my wife flooded the toilet right around when everybody was getting ready to leave. I think we will be speeding up our plans to renovate that bathroom now...

So I guess this Easter cost me $10,000.00 - I hope it wasn't God's way of saying I didn't put enough in the plate during service!!!

Our priest ended his homily with a word about two recent tragedies in our little parish. On Wednesday, Terry, the blind lady who runs the concession stand at the Croton Harmon station was having a routine cigarette break. You'd sometimes see her standing next to the elevator on the platform. Somehow she stumbled, tripped, became ill or something else and she fell to the tracks. Within about 10 seconds an Amtrak train struck and killed her. She was 75yrs old and ran the news station for 45 years. WOW, what a freak accident.

On Thursday, a resident was driving with his kids in the back seat (8 and 12) when a tree fell and struck the roof of his Mercedes killing him instantly. Luckily the kids were not hurt. This Dr was a specialist in HIV and a Director at Metroploitan hospital.

Just as Fr Mike finished mentioning these families, everyone heard a thud. An elderly lady fell out of her seat into the aisle. Thankfully, she was ok either fainting or perhaps just falling asleep from the long homily. Either way, everyone's stomach was turned for a few minutes until they announced she was OK.

In the end, we had a great Easter weekend. The circus yesterday followed by a trip up the empire state building and Easter with the family today.

To be honest I found your posting about the Resurrection in three different places on Boatered to be a bit much Pete. Just my opinion and hopefully I expressed it respectfully. Not everyone comes to a boating forum for mini religious lessons.

No sermon intended, John (at least not outside of NBR). Actually I posted "Happy Easter (a/k/a Resurrection Sunday)" in three places, John. Depending on where you go to church the holiday that took place yesterday might be referred to by one or the other of those two names...

Its the biggest holiday in the Christian calendar, so I wanted to be sure to wish everybody I know on here a happy one. Many people who post in HRCC don't have anchors, so they wouldn't have seen the good wishes in NBR, and since I moderate the Carver forum I felt I should send best wishes to my friends there too...

Am I missing something? Is there some way to send a post to only one forum but have everyone else read it? I assume that the only way you know that I posted "Happy Easter" in three places was to have actually visited all three places. Most of the ROs I know around here aren't likely to have visited all of them, IMHO...

When you click http://www.boatered.com/forum/active.asp which is the link that is at the top of each page which says "There Are XX active topics since your last visit", you are presented with a list of all new messages since your last visit. Doesn' matter which forum the new post is in, you will see it listed. Many people use that way to see the new posts in any forum instead of visiting each forum which may or may not have new messages. IMHO a much faster way to browse the website.

I used to be of the impression that everyone does it that way but that doesn't seem to be the case.

That's neat, John - I had never tried that link before. I hope I'm not the only one who's missed it, but I have been accused of being that "thick" before, as you know :) !!!
