I have recently purchased a 1996 carver 355 with twin 454 crusasers, fuel inj. This weekend
when we would cruise out about 1 hr. and anchor the engines would cold start perfectly, run great, but when i would try to restart after about 3hrs on hook, my stb. engine would start and imd. die, you could restart several times, with same trouble, when it would start you could try to rev it up but would just die again.
after trying to restart serveral times it would then stay running and do fine untill the next day when you would to start warm again. i am thinking vapor lock, but what can you do to correct this problem. will also change fuel filters this weekend. i brought this boat back from 350 mile trip 3 weeks ago with no problem at all.
any suggestons other than vapor lock.
