Hardtop capacity for a 4207

Hello,

We recently purchased a 1987 4207. It has a winch on the hardtop and remnants of a rack but we have no idea of the capacity of the rack. Is 1,000 lbs to much? What are other owners doing? How about the swim step capacity.

I would get ahold of Carver to find out. If memory serves me, Carver does not reccommend having anything or anyone on their hardtops...but that may be for safety concerns rather than structural reasons.

I found info on my 3607's to no more than 250 lbs it does not like me being on it to clean it, it moves around some. IMO it's not for sun bathing or dingy storage, if that's what you have in mind.

I would think having 1k pounds on the hardtop would make your boat top heavy which would not be good in rough seas.
