Time for a light refit. New cabin upholstery (did carpet two years ago). New windlass, HVAC panel, SeaDek cockpit, possible genny swap (but think it's got plenty of life left), deep detail, and about 20 other items.

Going to ask for a two-week window from haul to splash.

As they broker boats - I am also asking for a loaner runabout during this time. What do you think about that? Ever heard of it?

Thinking out loud...: How would you feel if you had your boat listed for sale with them and they loaned it out to a non-buyer someone you didn't know to use while theirs was getting fixed up? What if there was damage even if not the borrower's fault?

And FWIW , I was assured my twin new engine & transmission replacement/upgrade job at a well-respected fairly large NE yard would be completed for pickup in 2 weeks... but took 8 painful weeks in the middle of summer years ago. (No loaner :D )

Can't hurt to ask for anything as long as you are prepared for a reality check . Hope your upgrade goes very smoothly and you find some good way to get back OTW in the meantime.

And if they offer you the loaner , ask if they have a NE branch!!

Thanks - I know I said they are also a broker, but really meant something they maybe just owned outright - like a little kicker boat. We'll see!
