Have you learned and benifited from this site???

Hopefully you won't expire for a longtime but I don't know if you will be able to tell

Eagerly renewed for 2 yrs last week.

This is a great community place where participation can greatly enhance understanding of even things we already know... or wish we had.

And it's worth pointing out, "anchoring up" gives access to GVP's MECHANICAL HOW-TO ARTICLES Forum here, perhaps one of the most underutilized and more valuable marine engine resources on the internet. It's a great collection.

I've been here a long time, one of only a few services like this I subscribe to - hard to put a price on what I get out of BoaterEd, but it's a LOT more than $20 a year.

+1.

Clicking on ads once a day apparently helps as well.

Walter, are you aware of something?

No, just get what we have and know the costs that makes this happen. Point of the post is to raise "awareness" on what we have and how to keep this going.

Not one non-anchored post? Come on folks....help support this site.
Economics has me temporarily out of boating, but I can still find $20 to support this vast world of knowledge.

Boatered is a great site, and well worth the money.

What are the payment options?

I maintain a low profile online due to identity theft concerns. I have never entered my credit card information online, nor do I use my real name or personal information. I don't have a Paypal account, or anything like that.

I have benefited from the vast array of knowledge on this site. I have also met many members and have never been disappointed.

Been a member for probably close to 14 years now. If I pay $20 a year, thats alot but then I add up what is has saved me and it's well worth it. Some of my highlights:

- BE helped me find AYC, which lowered my docking fee's from $4k to zero!
- BE helped me locate a person to help me get paid after a major failure on a new boat.
- BE helped me get out of a crazy back bay without major damage!
- BE helped me get home from NJ after a major failure (RIP Dominic)
- BE helped me make numerous repairs on my boat, choose the right parts, make better decisions.
- BE helped me get thru the tough times as I can always come here during the day and get a laugh, contribute to help others, or just read interesting boating things.
- BE helped me sell may items and buy others!

So yeah, I am in! Guess I am a lifetime member now! LOL!

Most definitely have learned a great deal off this site. I have tried to share whatever I can too. I believe I started here with my 20' runabout, and then my 28' cruiser, and now my current 45'.

I recommend this site to many too.

Been a member since 2002 . Not only learned a lot here but also meet some GREAT guys over the years.

So is mine but I won't give up my anchor!

Been here since the beginning, invaluable information and genuine people all the way round, mostly....Joined after GVP saved my life when i ran into trouble changing elbows and risers. easily worth $20.

Joined a few minutes after Tim back in the day. I have learned and shared as have most here.
It is the only site that I pay to belong to and it is worth it's freight 10 times over.

Mariner 36. As far as payment options, I bet Les would accept a personal check.

Yes, I have learned from this site.

My anchor expired. How do I get a new one?

Thank you, Ed
