The Web Site says the Restaurant will reopen in May & it's under construction?

Does it look like it will be open on schedule before I get there in June?

Maybe a little early to tell yet? Keep an eye out.

Work is happening but it is really too soon to know for sure when it will open. We all keep hoping for the best thou!

Foundation is done and steel is arriving but a lot of work to go.

They would have to work weekends and alot of OT, Also depends on how many workers on the job.(Not impossible)

Hey - You think Haverstraw is paying for the OT? That is a good one....

Then again they will make some money from the restaurant so they put some money into it.

Hopefully this restaurant will have decent food, unlike the last place...

That's what we hoped for when the new "chef" came, probably less than a year before it burned down. Initially it was a little better, but then declined to its former level of mediocre food and poor service...and expensive too. I do understand that we are paying for the view. Speaking of views, I was reading in one boating magazine about how we like to dock and dine on the river...for the views. But we get the best views from out boats already, so why not seek out better and cheaper places to eat away from the water when we cruise. Babe's is an excellent example of a great little place to eat away from the marina.

They were working on the restaurant today (Sunday). Yesterday too.

I love Babe's! The Bricktown Brewery is also very good.

Where's that Mike? Sounds like a cool place. Anybody been to Sheeran's (formerly Lynch's) since it was remodeled?

Yup, disappointing.... Food was so so.

Isn't the Brickyard Brewery the same people that ran Lynch's?

John;

Got to agree with John (Rommer), Sheeran's was very disappointing. Food was very mediocore,

Lotsa members of the CYC are pressuring the 'house committee' to schedule bartenders on friday evenings and saturday / sunday afternoons.
Until then, if you HRCCers want a good meal or some fun, check out the "ocean house" in croton for some good food...tough to get into though. Just to the south of them is 'the tavern at croton landing' aka "Honey's". To get to either one, dock at the north side of our clubhouse, it's the guest dock and its free. Walk out the front gate, over the foot bridge and you'll see both restaurants on the left, just north of the foot bridge.

Chris, How big a boat can use the guest dock. Whats the water depth.

What Butch said. Always looking for another place to go eat by boat.

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure of the depth there. I think at the end of the ramp, it's easily four feet at low tide but I'd have to double check once the docks are in. Obviously it'd be much better if y'all came by smaller boats than 38 or 41 but I bet you'll fit. BTW - don't tell too many people, and don't use my name...LOL...too many old grouches at the CYC are mad at me already :(

Oh come on, I thought you had all kinds of pull there chris...I was actually thinking, We have someone who drops there kids off to his mother inlaw every once in awhile would be in and out in a few mins...He would even make a donation for the privelage...

Also dinner and drinks sound good...

I also hear steel has started at Haverstraw...

If the steel is just starting, you might, a big might, have a completed place by the end of the summer.

I wouldn't expect a miracle.
