Heading for the Exumas

Rick

i usuallyt head due south after clearing the east side of New Providence, for about 18NM. this way i stay clear of the yellow bank and then can turn towards Normans. it only adds a mile or so.

Ken, how was the passage from Paradaise to the Exumas? Did you go through the coral heads and find it very challenging. Did you need high tides? Sounds like Shroud is very nice!

We just completed a couple of fabulous weeks in the Abacos and are looking forward to the second half of the trip in two weeks to Atlantis, Paradaise and the Exumas. In spite of the early tropical weather activity the water was very clear for excellent diving.

We had very cloudy weather. We elected to go around to the west and then down to shroud.

Is the dude with the cheap sunglasses from ZZtop or is someone standing in front of him? :D

I think that would account for your track crossing land but #45 yesterday was a position report, in the middle of land.

I am not sure, but I think the position is actually the little point. That was the cut we used to get back inside. When I zoomed in, I see the point right in the Big Rock Cut.

That sad part today while we are eating breakfast is that we are heading back to Nassau in the morning.

Looks to me like it shows the position in the middle of the cut. Whatever though, it looks like you've had a really nice trip and I have all but decided to extend my next, August, trip float plan down to Shroud for a couple of days. I probably won't go much further than that but that just looked too good not to go.

Thanks for the pix and information.

Have a safe trip back home.
