We are in northeast corner of Hemlock today, Saturday. Water is nice. Can't boat tommorow and gotta head in early to spend time with Mom. Where is everyone?

I seen you there.........when we passed by around noonish in my buddy's boat.

I think I also seen Walter heading east ( on the nort side of the bay ) from the Amity cut around 5 ish

Great weather finally............

Walter is at the dock. I saw another silverton called cracker jack that looked like Walters.

Weather was great. Tommorow will be nice but I will be home.

It was his twin boat then............. seen it from our beach at the end of our block.

Tomorrow should be a c/c of today...............

It's dropped into the mid-90s here...

Chance of t storms and showers tomorrow afternoon after 1pm. Hope they hold off.

.......just fired up the central a/c for the first time this season....................gunna be a killer today.

I fired mine up yesterday before I left the house. According to my car it was still 80 when I got home at 10:30 last night.

A/C went on yesterday, slept last night with it, though it really did not go on much. This morning it's starting to work again. I can feel the heat outside. North Shore is alot hotter than South Shore. When we left boat yesteray, car said 82. When we got to the North Shore it was 91!

I work on the north shore, live on the south shore. Always seems like the north shore is a good 10 degrees warmer during spring/ summer. I leave work, drive home and almost always see a 10 degree difference.

Yesterday (Saturday) on the way to the boat(live on the North Shore)my car temperature thingy said 95 degrees on Jericho Tpk. in Smithtown, When I got to my slip (Lindenhurst) it was 82 degrees.
During normal days, I usually see a 5 degree swing.

The reason we see this is because of the cool breeze of the water. Another advantage the South Shore has over the North Shore.

It felt like there was a 10 degree difference between Hemlock Cove and my slip in Lindenhurst today.
We stopped at Target on the way home. My wife and daughter were inside shopping while my son and I stayed in the car during the passing storm. We saw the outside temp drop from 90 before the storm to 74 at the end of the storm on the thingy in the car.

My thingy on the boat said water temp on Saturday was up t 67. Getting up there!
Pool was 78 today. But yeah, big swings in temps from Hemlock to Lindy to North Shore. I know my thingys are pretty accurate. Love those thingys!

It's just COOL to live in the SOUTH SHORE !!!!

It sure is hot out, but I am lucky to have Monday and today off. My place of work is closed for the Jewish holidays. Until last year and starting my new job I did not even know there was a Jewish holiday in June, and an important one to be closed to boot. Well going to head back down to the boat and hang out, maybe take her for a spin, but I would feel guilty since my wife is working. Oy-vey it is hot on that dock, but beats the office hands down...

Jewish holiday? What did I miss? Now I feel guilty, and I don't even know why.
