We have Diamond series 450, 1999, 6-CTAs in our 4600 Maxum.

The port engine's fuel shutoff valve took a dump.

Cummins advises the original solenoid has been replaced with a new heavier duty model which also requires a new mounting bracket, and buying from Cummins direct cost me $330.00!

Our installation has hydraulic shifters and the line is mounted on the original bracket. The new solenoid is about 1" deeper than the original, the hole pattern is different and the mount for the hydraulic shifter will not work.

Has anyone had this problem? What was the fix?

Am tempted to fabricate adapter plate (ala JCWhitney style) to be able to mount the new solenoid onto the old bracket, but the solenoid throw might be critical. Also, my shop is located 70 miles from the boat.
