I am hoping that I can get some responses from my fellow Regal owners regarding my boat problem.

I posted my topic on the BoaterEd site under the engine topic section but only one response was received. I guess I am spoiled to the "good old days" of the ROC when I could depend on always getting numerous responses to any problem I encountered.

Please review my thread and maybe you can help me:

Neal,

I agree with Misebley. A spun hub will not affect it going into neutral. Spun hubs sometimes will also give you a warning, like loss of RPM before a total loss. It sounds like you are not getting a power transfer from your engine to the drive. That might likely be the coupler.

Hi Neal,

Here are some pictures of the coupling and the shifting mechanism. You can have access there by removing the three screws (two on top, one at the bottom) of the aft plastic piece on your drive. I hope this can help you...

Thanks for the awesome pics. I am hauling the baby out of the water on Tuesday and the coupling will be the first thing I check.

I really appreciate the response.

I knew I could count on my old ROC buddies to provide some help.

Old ROC buddies = Regal Owners FAMILY.....;), that makes the difference I think...Anyway, you are welcome and keep us advised about your findings.
