I installed a depth sounder and epoxied the transducer in the hull under the motor in a four winns 17 bowrider. The readings are erratic, accurate when they are there but missing most of the time. Doesn't matter if stopped, moving slow or on plane, sometime it's there sometimes not. I'm assuming it's transducer mounting not placement since it's accurate when it works but I'm open to suggestions. Do you think I can pop it off and remount or do I need a new transducer. I installed it with two part 10 minute setting epoxy. Help, my bottom and outdrive thank you all in advance [:-banghead]
P.S. I know I was supposed to try it out before I epoxied it in but I'm a trailer boater and installed it in my garage 2 hrs from the water.
