I recently broke an actuator arm on my trim tabs (see the "Almost lost my boat" thread). For some reason the actuator arm didn't hold up when the 12,000 lb. boat was dropped about a foot onto the trim tab
.
I have one actuator arm completely destroyed and the other one has a leak that I discovered at the beginning of the season so I figured I would just replace them both.
On the pump I see "Bennett" and underneath it is "V 351". From the Bennett website it looks like I need the actuator assembly (A1101A). Is that correct? Do all of the trim tabs use the same actuator assembly? When I refill the fluid do I need to bleed it somehow? Also what size tabs do you think I need for a 34' X 9' boat that weighs about 12,000 lbs and has outboards so it is a little stern heavy? I generally have to keep the tabs fully deployed to stay on plane.
Thanks,
Paul
EDIT: I just looked at your website sizing guidelines. I think I should go with the 3612 tabs. Does TPA3612 come with actuators? Would I just have to take everything off of the stern and replace it?
