I have a 28 year old Raritan manual/electric toilet. It doesn't flush anymore. The motor's fine . You told me in a post a while back that it would be better to replace the toilet but I don't have $500 right now. The new Raritan manual toilet PH2 I believe is in my budget. Can I install my old motor on the new manual toilet??????
 
'Fraid not; they aren't interchangeable - the clearances and the linkage are different. But you can get the PHII and use it manually.
 
Thanks, I was wrestling with this because there is a Jabsco manual that I can get for less than the Raritan. If the Raritan manual was convertable, I would have robbed my piggy bank to pay the difference.
 
The Raritan PHII manual toilet is convertible; it can be converted to electric operation at a later date. However, changes have been made in the last 28 years, and your old motor unit won't work on the newer manual toilet. With your head being 28 years old, it was the predecessor to the PHII (the PH series, rather than the PHII series). The big changeover was in 1981 - anything built after that, you're OK. Before 1981, no soap - you can't mix and match, sorry.
